Kneeboarding Fun Facts

So this is what is know as a kneeboard and it came into popularity in the 60s and then faded. Only a handfull of older wave riders still ride on their knees. Thus the neoprene pad you see here on the deck.

The quote that appears on the board is a lesson from lao tsu and his tao te ching. Also the symbol in the orange square stands for the Tao but also looks like a surfer.

So here is how a kneeboard is ridden.. Believe me i get plenty of wise cracks, even my mother calls me a paraplegic surfer. But it all about the low center of gravity and getting deep in the tube!
