The Mustang Mill is the very heart of a global community which connects students with communities around the world. The library holds magic and wonder for every child, our most precious resource.

The mission of the MILL guarantees that students and staff have unlimited access to and are effective users
of ideas and information.
The MILL has two full-time staff members, a library tech technician and a library technology educator AKA school librarian.
The MILL has over 10,000 titles available in written or electronic format.
Flexible scheduling keeps the MILL busy all day long!

Our school's PTA is extremely supportive of our library and technology programs. Yearly book fairs, sponsored by PTA, allow us to expand our collection of resources, both curricular and technological.

Martinez Elementary School mission:
Every Day in Every Way: Learn Live Lead
Based upon the principles of The Leader In Me
Collaboration insures instruction targets are met, lessons delivered with excellence, student engagement and student work assessed. Collaboration also builds strong collegial relationships.
Collaboration leads to powerful, standards-based projects in which students explore, evaluate and share information.
Exploring our global culture literally opens up the world to children.
Martinez fifth graders participate in the Pikes Peak Region Battle of the Books.
The MILL's technology program is standards based and implemented by a full time technology teacher.
As a Personalized Learning coach, I work side by side with students and staff exploring and integrating technologies.
Our school is a recipient of the Department of Defense Education Activity(DoDEA) Grant for 2012-2015.
Personalized Learning team leaders continually research, evaluate and discuss the role of technology to increase student learning, collaboration and a global perspective in science, math, engineering and technology (STEM) across several content areas.
Students are able to access the e-book collection and research project resources at school and at home via the Mustang MILL webpage.
Learning has no time constraints in cyberspace!
A school librarian has the best of ALL worlds:
*unlimited access to the electronic and printed word
*unlimited opportunities to connect children
